LA to San Francisco
| I rented a car from Long Beach in California and drove to Santa Rosa (located just north of San Francsico) on route 1 and 101. Route 1 is a slow road which follows the coast up through San Francisco. I took 101 when i was bored of the slow drive. This is one of the beaches i stopped at on the way up the coast. | |

| This is the youth hostel i stayed at while traveling north. The hostel is located beside an old lighthouse. It was very clean and i was the only one in the room, so i didn't have to worry about anyone snoring, which was good for a change. |  |
